University of Iceland

The National University Hospital of Iceland

The National University Hospital of Iceland (Landspítali) is the leading hospital in Iceland and the largest health care employer. It provides specialized and general care with a 700-bed capacity. Landspítali's mission is threefold; care of patients, teaching and training of clinical staff, and scientific research. There are diverse clinical services in outpatient clinics, day patient units, inpatient wards, critical care units, clinical laboratories, and other divisions. Its purpose is to supply high-quality health services, be globally competitive, and emphasize compassion, progress, safety, and professionalism.
